Stayed for a week with a ten year old and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Location perfect, between the station and historical area with plenty of restaurants, cafes, convenience stores within short walking distance and open until late. Also a chemist right out front. Information provided by the hotel staff was great. Limited English and a European with broken English was able to assist. Bicycles available for daily hire ($5AUD). Hotel as pictured, everything new and very clean. Firm beds, great sheets and adjustable room temperature. Pajama’s and many amenities provided. **Except coffee and milk. As a coffee lover I was dissappointed that the top floor complimentary coffee machine was only available to those who had pre booked breakfast, or after 3pm. A quick fix solved with a 7 Eleven a few minutes walk each morning whilst kiddo slept in. There are also vending machines with snacks and drinks on the top floor available 24/7, next to the two washing machines/ dryers. Onsen (guest public baths) was just amazing and opening hours provided morning and evenings. Loved that the TV provided washing machine and public bath status!

The hotel was quite impressive right from the lobby entry - a nicely done pond feature and welcoming lounge with pool table and sofas. The whole hotel feels new and fresh, with a sedate blue-grey theme. The rooms were well thought-out and all elements felt good-quality. The spa is very nice, well equipped and clean (I loved the tubs!). The breakfast room is lovely and airy, with views over Kurashiki. Breakfast was tasty, with a fresh cooked dish as well as the buffet options. There's also complimentary drinks outside of breakfast time. It's a short, mostly covered walk to the historic area, and only a few mins to the train station. We enjoyed our stay a lot, especially Kurashiki itself!

Vadim from reception was so friendly and helpful, so already at check in we felt so welcome in this hotel. Unfortunately we didn't have time to check out the onsen area on the 11th floor but it looked very nice. The room was very clean, again not very big, which wasn't a problem at all. The bathroom was also a delight. They even have a little heater behind the mirror so that it's never getting "foggy" which I found very cool. We booked the place instead of staying in Hiroshima because we wanted to see this cute little town which was definitely worth visiting. From the hotel you're in 10 minutes in the heart of the old town.

The hotel is in a wonderful location - the hotel can be accessed directly from the center street shortcut tunnel to the Bikan Historical quarter, right across the street from the train station. Rooms were very well equipped, beds were quite comfortable. Appreciated the local touches in the rooms, i.e. canvas/textile goods. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Very much enjoyed the upper floor view lounge, not only the panoramic view but also the varied and well presented drink amenities. The public bath was wonderful, nicely equipped and spacious. Very much enjoyed our stay and would love to return!

This is a thoughly-modern, western-style hotel, right on the shopping street which abuts Kurashiki's Historic District. Many of the front desk staff were fluent in english. The hotel has many amenities which far exceed the room rates, such as sake-tasting and a pool table in the lobby. There is a free group bath, and coin laundry which share the top floor with the restaurant. I bought the breakfast for 1650yen, and it was delicious -- part buffet, with an additional cooked plate. The wet-bathroom had a big tub, and new fitments. They even gave us free water bottles and instant-green tea packets.
